Becky Sandberg is an identity and access management leader with more than twenty-five years of experience building, governing, and modernizing enterprise identity programs.
She began on the clinical and operations side before moving into IT and security, which shaped a conviction that runs through all of her work: identity is a human discipline before it is a technical one. Across roles in healthcare, manufacturing, retail, and financial services, she has owned IAM strategy, lifecycle governance, access modeling, and audit readiness, and has led the cross-functional work of turning fragmented identity into something predictable and governable.
She is known for translating identity into business terms and for building teams and structures that outlast any single tool or project. The Modern Identity Operating Model distills that experience into a vendor-neutral framework for governing human, nonhuman, and AI identity. She writes the Modern Identity Series and lives in Minnesota.
She also runs From the Recipe Box, making custom cookbooks that keep a family’s recipes and stories together.

Feedback on the book, notes on the site, a speaking or workshop request, or just a hello. I read everything, and reader feedback is what shapes the next book in the series.
Feedback on the book
What landed, what you would change, where it helped, and what you want to see in the next book. Honest notes are the most useful kind.

A rough edge you hit, a tool that helped, a template you wish existed. Both the praise and the problems tell me where to spend effort.
